Island Caterers Executive Chef
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer or any other person designated by him/her, you will be responsible to co-ordinate all outside catering activities within the Group between the Hotel Kitchens and Island Caterers Operations team to ensure smooth, efficient and well co-ordinated outside catering events. You will be responsible to ensure the highest food quality, prepared in a creative and consistent manner across all kitchens. You will also be responsible for the attainment of profitability margins in the area of food preparation and production through efficient cost management. You will need to ensure the maximisation of guest satisfaction at every event.
General Profile
You will be a passionate and creative Chef with a flair for the art of food preparation. You will need strong management skills and experience within a five star environment while having the capability of supporting a large kitchen brigade and co-ordinating multiple functions simultaneously. You will have a good understanding of cost control and the pricing process of menus to ensure profitability of our events as well as excellent communications and organisation skills. You will be a natural leader capable of inspiring a kitchen brigade to perform at their best even in high pressure situations.
Banqueting waiter/waitress
Role: The selected candidate will be forming part of our Banqueting Team. Must be a team player, smart, friendly and positive disposition to meet clients’ satisfaction.
Job Description: The job requires flexibility and commitment to work also on weekends. You must be service oriented and enthusiastic to deliver a service with a smile while working in a busy environment. Applicants with food handling certificate and/or special driving licence will be considered an asset.
